An overview of secure compute and embedded systems. Lectures cover threat models, attacks that compromise security, and techniques for mitigating threats. Topics include operating system (OS) security, information flow control, language security, network protocols, hardware security, and web application security. Assignments include labs that involve implementing a secure web server, web application and embedded systems, as well as attempting to compromise them (ref. OCWMIT).

An overview of many concepts, techniques, and algorithms in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning. This course is focuses on Machine Learning, beginning with topics such as classification and linear regression and ending up with more recent topics such as boosting, support vector machines, hidden Markov models, and Bayesian networks. The course will give the student the basic ideas and intuition behind modern Machine Learning methods as well as a bit more formal understanding of how, why, and when they work (ref. OCWMIT).
